Choosing the paper weight for a brochure
Paper weight (gsm) determines how sturdy a brochure feels. When you upload to Slim Folderen, you choose between Budget (100 g cover / 80 g inside pages), Standard (120/100 g) or Premium (120/120 g).
What gsm means
Grams per square metre. The higher the number, the stiffer the paper feels. Ordinary printer paper is 80 g; 100 to 120 g feels noticeably sturdier. Offset printers often use heavier paper for brochures: inside pages around 130–170 g, a separate cover up to around 300 g. We print stapled A4 from a single production line, on 80 to 120 g.
What you can choose
- Budget: 100 g cover, 80 g inside pages (4 credits per page)
- Standard: 120 g cover, 100 g inside pages (5 credits per page)
- Premium: 120 g cover and inside pages (6 credits per page)
- FSC-certified paper as standard
- On demand: no outdated stock
You set the paper type when you upload the brochure.
